On September 17th, Dak Prescott visited Lone Star.  He surprised the varsity football players after school that day by walking into the weight room and everyone freaking out that he was there.

“My reaction when I saw Dak walk into the locker room was pretty funny.  We were screaming at the top of our lungs trying to get close enough for him to shake our hands,” Trey Taylor, 2019, said.

Dak’s arrival brought mixed reactions through the team.

“I was in shock that an NFL quarterback came to chill with our team and was in awe when coach picked me,” Ife Opere, 2019, said.

The players got to talk to Prescott as well as throw some passes and lift weights with him.

“The most memorable moment was when Dak and I talked about the time we had met before. He remembered me from the Cowboys Camp I went to when I was a sophomore,” Opere said.

Dak came to shoot a Campbell’s Soup commercial and needed the team’s help with finishing it.

“The team’s role in the commercial was to do some ball and footwork drills, to walk with Dak onto the field and eat the soup,” Taylor said.
