Lone Star Ranger’s mascot, R.I.O.T, made his first appearance in the annual community parade held in Frisco Square.

“R.I.O.T was a ton of fun and he definitely stood out and made it more enjoyable for all the kids,” cheerleader, Alexis Owen, 2016, said.

R.I.O.T was first introduced in the beginning of the school year and has added more energy at the football games. Many of the students enjoy participating in the community because it showcases their school spirit.

“It’s great getting to see all of the Frisco community coming out and showcasing all of our schools,”Owen said.

The band and color guard members also made an appearance in the parade representing the Lone Star Rangers.

“The parade was a lot of fun and knowing that I get to go out and support my community,” color guard member,Addy Ames, 2016, said.

Color guard members enjoyed participating in the community parade by preparing something different.

“It was fun and we matched with our flags to the four different songs and we just tried our hardest to have as much fun as possible,” Kailee Pruit, 2018, said.

The Ranger mascot, R.I.O.T, and color guard members showcased more school spirit than previous years.

“I can’t wait for next year and I hope that we have an even bigger turnout,” Addy Ames said.
